Sara M. Bunge joined Davis Frawley, LLC, as an attorney in February of 2023. Sara was born and raised in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School, Class of 1990. She earned her B.S. in Criminal Justice in 1994 from the University of South Carolina and received her J.D. in 1999 from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Upon graduating from law school, Sara served as the Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Marc H. Westbrook from 1999-2000. During her 26 years of state government service, Sara also worked at various times for the University of South Carolina Police Department, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the 5th, 9th, and 11th Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Offices in both General Sessions and Family Court, as well as for the Town of Lexington as a Municipal Court Judge and the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice as the Assistant General Counsel. In 2013, Sara won the Ernest Fritz Hollings Award for Excellence in Family Court Prosecution.

Sara concentrates her practice in the area of civil litigation defense. Sara is a member of the South Carolina and Georgia (inactive) Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.

Sara is married to Ricardo Bunge, a University of South Carolina School of Law graduate, Class of 2008. They reside in Lexington and are parishioners of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Sara is a proud parent of a son who has been accepted to Clemson University, Class of 2027. Sara enjoys traveling, exercising, and being outdoors.
