Jeff was born in and grew up Edgefield, South Carolina. He graduated Clemson University in 1980 and law school in Columbia, S.C in 1983. After law school, Jeff served as a judicial law clerk for former Governor and Circuit Judge George Bell Timmerman, Jr. and for Circuit Judge Hubert E. Long. After completing these clerkships, Jeff joined this firm in 1985. While Jeff is experienced in civil litigation and property law, his primary focus has been serving as attorney for the County of Lexington since 1988. In that capacity, Jeff performs a wide variety of legal services for Lexington County. Jeff has argued cases before the South Carolina Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. 

Jeff comes from a family of lawyers. His father, Joe F. Anderson, Sr. was an attorney in Edgefield for 40 years. His brothers Greg, Ben and Joe also are lawyers. All of the Andersons graduated from Clemson University and the Moot Court room at Clemson is named in honor of Joe F. Anderson, Sr. 

Jeff is married to the former Melanie Priester of Fairfax, South Carolina and they have two children, Jeffrey and Bethany. The Andersons are members of Lexington United Methodist Church.

Jeff’s favorite hobby is playing golf and he is a member of Golden Hill Golf and Country Club where he has served on the advisory board.
